When we went to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention last month, they really stressed networking and getting your ministry out on such places like Facebook, YouTube and others. When we got back, we have been working on doing that! My dad now has a facebook page where we have posted pictures and where we also have a group that you can join called the John Ankerberg Show. This is run by our staff by I do show my dad who his friends are and what pictures and videos have been put up! This is producing some great results and we hope to continue to grow it more! I hope you will check out Facebook and YouTube! You can also go to our website at www.johnankerberg.org and we have links to some of the networking places that you can go for the ministry.

This past weekend my mom and I went to Atlanta to see our family! My second cousin turned 1 and he is so adorable! When we go on vacation this year it will be very fun especially with him and seeing how he likes the water! I am glad that our family is so close that we can go down for a day! My aunts actually left yesterday to fly to Norway for some meetings that they are involved in with their job! So, pray for them if you think about it!

Things are moving along here at the show! My dad had minor back surgery but is doing well! We are making plans for the programs to come! We have been playing a series on Revelation that Dr. Jimmy DeYoung did on our program! We are very thankful for the response that we have received! Times are getting hard especially for small businesses like ours! We do not know what the future holds but we know God is in control! I am saddened by the loss of jobs that people have experienced in this country! I always want to help people and I wish I had lots of money so that I could help those in need and get them back on their feet! Anyways, thank you to all who are supporting us and continue to pray for our ministry!

Tuesday, March 03, 2009

Well this week I am going to stray a little from talking about the ministry happenings. I am a person who gets pulled into shows like American Idol. Now, the reason I like it is because I love to hear the voices that people have(whether good or bad) and I do like to hear what Simon says! Now whether you agree with me or not Simon is usually right about people. Many people do not like him because he bluntly says what he thought about the person and their song. Now, sometimes I do disagree with him but most of the time he is right! It got me thinking about the fact that in our lives we need people to tell us bluntly how we are doing in our walk! We need to be accountable to each other more often! I know that in my life that I should be more accountable to people who really need it or to say how are you doing in your walk? I don't have to be a Simon but I can definitely help people in their walk by being honest with them!

Much has happened this month! At the beginning we went to our regular Religious Broadcasters Convention which was in Nashville! We heard Anne Graham Lotz and John MacArthur, Charles Stanley and scores more! We also made some good contacts with people and we also are planning some upcoming projects.

Right now we are working on a new series on Islam that we taped with Dr. Emir Caner! He has been on our program before with his brother. He has co-authored two books with my dad called Islam and Jihad and Islam and Women. The programs we taped are on those topics. It is great material and something that every church needs to be informed about!

The Lord is opening some exciting doors but we need his wisdom and leading in what we are to do in the months ahead! Thank you for your prayers and support! Our ministry is a unique ministry that God has given us and we want to use it for His glory!

Tuesday, February 03, 2009

Well, how time can get away! It is hard to believe that it is February already! Part of January our family went to California to see some donors and spend a little vacation in the desert! It was wonderful! The temperature was 80 degrees everyday we were there! Back at the ranch in Chattanooga, they closed the schools because it was so cold! That has never happened in the time that I have lived in TN!

We just did a great series with Emir Caner who use to be a former muslim! We hope to air that program in March. In these programs Emir talks about Islam and Women and Islam and Jihad. I hope that you will tune in to hear this vital information.

On another note I hope that you will continue to pray for our staff and for my dad! We have some of our staff that have spouses going through surgery and need our prayers. Especially pray for the programs and the subjects that we are dealing with. Before long we may not be able to put out the information that is so vital for Christians and Nonchristians!

Tuesday, December 09, 2008

When I looked today, I saw it had been a month since I had written. I could not believe it! We are busy at the John Ankerberg Show! We are working on letters going out and also on christmas orders and gifts. It is non-stop! I really do love this time of year with all the gifts and lights and being together with family! It just seems to go by too fast anymores. People use to tell me that when I got out of college time would fly. I believe it now for sure!

Anyways, continue to pray for our ministry this month. We know of so many ministries that are laying off people and that are behind in their expenses. We have not broken even yet but we are thankful to the Lord for what he has done for us so far! Thank you for your prayers and support throughout this year! I hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

Wow! I can't believe it has been over a month since I have written. There is so much happening at the John Ankerberg Show. For the past few weeks we have been working on packages that include the most popular programs that we have done through the years. We also just got through doing our christmas catalog that we are sending out. Last week we taped Dr. Hugh Ross who is from Reasons to Believe and we taped some mroe programs on science that we will be airing the beginning of next year. Next week we will be taping Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and he will be doing a series on Revelation that we are going to show next month.

There is much happening but we can't do it without your help and prayers. We are in changing times and we can only take one day at a time. I pray that you will consider also going with our family and Dr. Jimmy DeYoung as we go to Israel in March. You may not have this opportunity again so I hope that you will consider going with us.

Thursday, October 02, 2008

I love this time of the year! Hard to believe that it is October! This is the time that we start getting ready for Christmas. Right now we are working on a catalog to send out for Christmas among other things. There are some great offers that we will have that maybe you could get for your family and friends.

I know that financially times are hard right now! It is also hard for ministries. We need people like you to help or we will cease to exist. Many of the networks we are on do not give you 90 days to get your money in. They want it right away or else that is it. The Lord has given us this ministry and we take each day by faith! But, in the mean time we need your support to get out the programming that you will not hear anywhere else! I hope that if the Lord lays on your heart to give that you will or if you can just pray for us that will be greatly appreciated! My dad has put his life into this ministry and knows that the Lord has called him to do this. So, please help if you can.

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

We just got back from our trip to CA. It was a good trip and we met with some of donors who give to the ministry. I like visiting CA. I would not want to live there though with the earthquakes and fires. Some of the people we saw the fires came very close to their house and because of the winds they get they had a lot of destruction.

There is so much going on right now in our country and our world. Between the election and the economy and the uprising of countried overseas it is good to know that God is in control. at our church we have been going through a series on Revelation. Many people shy away from studying revelation but in the midst of the tribulation that will happen many people will be saved and in the end the Devil will be destroyed and God will reign forever. I think of all the kings and Presidents and how they will one day bow down to God. So many think that what is happening now is so bad but they have not seen anything yet. Our God is a loving God and a God who is judge also. We are definitely getting ready for the end times. What a day that will be when He returns.

Thursday, September 11, 2008

We are still broadcasting the series on the issues that will be coming up in this next election. This is a series that you need to buy for your church and friends. I have never heard anything like these programs. It was they way that Janet Parshall and her husband Craig and Dr. Frank Wright presented the material and what is at stake for our country coming up!

Next week I will be traveling with mom and dad to visit some of our donors. Pray for us as we go and also for the ministry. We have a unique ministry that presents the truth on different topics and no one else does what we do. So, pray for us as we visit with some of our donors. It is only through your support that this ministry keeps going. There are many exciting things happening now and we get to be apart of it!

Friday, August 22, 2008

This weekend we are starting a great series with Janet Parshall , Craig Parshall and Dr. Frank Wright. Many of you have heard Janet on the radio. Her husband Craig is the lawyer for the National Religious Broadcasters Convention and Dr. Frank Wright is President of the Religious Broadcasters Convention. These three discuss the issues that are going to come up with this next election and why it is important for christians to vote. God commands us to do it. There are many things that could change in the next couple of years and they outline that for us in our new series entitled "The Coming Political Earthqukae". I hope that you will buy this for your church and for your friends. This is information that you will not hear anywhere else.

I hope that you will pray for our family next weekend. We will be traveling to attend my dad's uncle's funeral. He passed away a week ago. He was a wonderful christian man who loved the Lord and did all he could for the kingdom. He also was very funny and always had a joke. We miss him but he is so much better off now and we will see him again.

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

Well, our family just got back from Europe. What a trip it was! We started in Rome and we saw the roman forum, the Colosseum, the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel! I loved Rome! What a place and to see so many of the places where Paul was at. We saw where he was imprisoned and it is so hard to believe that he lived in places like that for a long period of time. You definitely have more respect for Paul and all that he went through. We then left on a 10 day cruise that went to Florence, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Naples and Pompeii, Tunisia Africa, the island of Malta and Sicily. Each place was unique and to see the culture and eat the food was fabulous! After we finished the cruise we went to Switzerland for a couple of days. All in all it was a great trip!

On this trip we were able to witness to our guides and the ones who worked on the ship. One of the guys who was a waiter at our table just got married in December and left to come work on Holland America until next March. I can't imagine the sacrifice he is making but to work on the ship is wonderful for the Indonesian people. He has such a nice smile and was very open to the gospel. It was neat to see how our guides reacted when we were witnessing to them. They know so much history and they also know that there was a man named Jesus Christ but they did not understand the whole picture of Christianity and the relationship you can have with Him. It was neat to stand in churches and present the gospel!

I say all this because you never know when you will have an opportunity to witness to people and how hungry they are for the Word of God!

In the mean time we are getting ready for another taping and I hope that you are watching our series on Israel and the alignment of the nations. This is a wonderful series to get your family members or for your church!

Sunday, July 06, 2008

Well, I hope that everybody had a wonderful fourth! There is so much to be thankful for! Here in Chattanooga there were many firework displays that went on all weekend! We even had a great show in our neighbourhood.

Well, this week we are getting ready for a ministry trip to Europe! We will be gone three weeks so I hope that you will pray for us as we go. We are trying to get things ready in the meantime which takes time to do! When we get back it will be August and time for school to start again! Hard to believe how fast this summer is going!

We will be doing a taping in August with Janet Parschall and her husband and Dr. Frank Wright who is the president of the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. This will be a series you will want to buy. It is all about the laws and decisions that affect us both now and in the election ahead. We will also be airing out next series on Israel. This will be about the countries that are borders to Israel and what that means as far as prophecy is concerned. You will not want to miss it!

So, pray for us as many things are coming up and for our safety as we will be traveling!

Thursday, June 19, 2008

Well, this past Sunday was Father's Day! I am very grateful for my father and that the Lord has allowed him to live longer. It was just two years ago that he went in for open heart surgery. It is one thing when something happens to say your aunts and uncles or your grandparents, but when it comes to your parents it really hits home. I knew that the Lord would bring him through but it was still a valley that the Lord took my mom and myself through that I learned to trust him more. The passage in the Bible that helped me through that time was Psalm 103. I had heard Dr. Michael Easley preach on this the Sunday before my dad went in for tests and I did not know how much that passage would mean to me. I hope you will read that today. It is very comforting and encouraging.

Things are going well here at the ministry. We are getting ready for new programs to come up and my dad is working on some other books that are coming out soon. I hope that you will continue to pray for his strength and for guidance as we try to figure out what we need to do for this fall!

Wednesday, June 04, 2008

Well, we just got back from a wonderful week at the beach with our family. We had 12 people , a baby and two dogs. Needless to say it was quite hectic. Speaking of the new baby, he was born three months ago to my cousin and her husband. His name is Levi and he is so precious. It is amazing to me how things are changing rapidly in our family. I look at my cousins who not long ago were small and now they are in college and wanting to be pastors or some kind of teachers. How fast time goes by.

Anyways, now it is back to work and we have just a few weeks to get things done before we go on our cruise to Rome. Our staff is working overtime right now which is tough but we need the Lord's help and I hope you will continue to pray for my dad and our staff in all that is being accompished. The Lord has been very gracious to us and we thank Him for that everyday!

Friday, May 23, 2008

Well, today I am very excited because this week coming up we are going on vacation with our family! This is our annual beach trip! This year we have 12 people with a baby and two dogs that will be going! It will be a wild time!

I hope that you have been watching the series we are doing on Israel. This series has taken a long time to put together because there are so many graphics to go along with the material we are presenting. Many people think that my dad just gets on and talks every week but he is the writer, producer and everything else that comes along with putting a tv special together. I hope you will pray for him along with our staff. Everybody works so hard and long hours. No one has any idea how long things take and if computers don't work that puts you behind even more!

The next series we will be going to will be with Dr. Richard Land who use to be the head of the Southern Baptist convention and Dr. Erwin Lutzer who is pastor of Moody Memorial Church in Chicago, IL. They will be discussing issues with politics and christians and should we be involved and what side does God favor? Does he favor democrats or republicans? Should we as christians be involved with politics? They have some great insight into all of this. Those programs will start in June. So pray for those programs as they go out.

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

It is hard to believe that May is here. In our family May is a big month because not only do I have two cousins who have birthdays but my mom's birthday is this month also. I have to brag a little on my mom. She is a godly woman who is behind my dad 100%. I don't know what my dad would do without her. She carries so many jobs not just at work but she also takes care of her mother and her own family as well. I am very thankful for my mother and all she does. She will definitely be rewarded someday!

We are in the process of editing our newest program on Israel. Speaking of which ,today is the anniversary of the state of Israel. What a day that was for them 60 years ago. I hope you will tune into our program because no one else has the footage and the material that we do on the subject of Israel.

One last thing I want to comment on is how saddened I am to hear about the earthquake in China and the disasters that have happened in many places overseas and here in the US. It just goes to show that we are getting closer to the Lord's return. The Bible talks about earthquakes and disasters that will happen in the end times. I hope that you are ready like I am for the Lord's return! How exciting to know how close it could be!

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

My how time flies and I forgot that it had been a whole month since I had written. In April my parents flew to Israel and taped for over two weeks a series with Dr. Jimmy DeYoung that we are going to start airing on May 11. It is going to be on the 60th anniversary of Israel and I hope you will tune in because there is some great information. Meanwhile, we have been busy at the office doing tapings and our series right now on Islam has gone very well. I have loved talking to new people that have never seen the show!

This past weekend we went to a conference in Branson MO. That was my first time there and it was beautiful. My dad spoke along with Dr. David Jeremiah, Kay Arthur and Norman Geisler just to name a few. Many people were saved and that was wonderful to see! We were not able to see any shows but we went to a restaurant that Andy Williams owns and it was great food. He still comes in every day and checks what is on the menu and he performs six nights a week and sings for an hour. He is remarkable at the age he is. So, if you ever go to Branson go to the Moon River cafe. It was great!

Thursday, March 27, 2008

You have not heard from me because I was on vacation last week in Hilton Head Island. It was beautiful weather and a much needed break! So, this week has been catch up for me. We are getting ready to do some programs that have to do with Israel and so mom and dad are traveling right now both here and overseas.

The work has been busy and it is not stop. We have had a good response to our current program which is on the Protestans and Catholics and what they agree on and disagree on. It has brought about some interesting calls. Our next program we are going to is going to be on Islam. I love the Islam series we did because the two brothers we had on were former muslims and to hear their story of how they came to know the Lord is so fascinating. This information is so good and I hope you will tune in to hear it.

Friday, March 14, 2008

I almost forgot that it has been awhile since I have updated what has been happening. This past weekend we went to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention which was held in Nashville TN. It was a great weekend and we were able to hear the President of The US too! He came and spoke for our group on Tuesday. What a sincere man. Whether you voted for him or not, he is a man of God. He gave his testimony of how he came to know the Lord and he talked about things with the war and then he ended with how much of a pleasure it was to serve all of us over the past couple of years. I have never heard a president say what a pleasure it was to serve.

I am not trying to be political but there are a lot of issues that are important with this next election. Not just about picking the right judges or taking a stand for life, but also issues with us as broadcasters that may no longer be able to broadcast because of hate crimes and the fairness doctrine. So, we need to start praying now for the right person to be put in.

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

I want to say thank you for your support in the past few weeks - we have received many donations to help our financial crisi and we are very thankful. Last night I read in Philippians the verse that says "But My God Shall supply all your needs". How true this is. The Lord does come through for us in His timing.

We have seen many miracles and it is only through the Lord that these things happen. I don't know what we would do without Him. What a God we serve.

On a political note I attended a dinner this past weekend for Republicans. It was very informative especially about the presidential race and we had some of our senators there that represent our state. In my spare time I try to get involved with a group here called the Young Republicans. I enjoy it because you get to hear what is happening with the party that I vote for.

Well, continue to pray for our ministry this week. My dad is getting ready to do some other projects and they require time and money. Continue also to pray for his strength each day - he definitely needs it!

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

I want to say thank you to the ones who have sent in donations to our ministry. It is a good start but we are not to our goal yet.

We are working on many projects that are coming up so I hope that you will pray for the ministry and for my dad in all that he is doing.

He is doing well and has more strength now. It has been over a year and the recovery time has gone very well.

We have had many people to write in and say how much the program has meant to them. One lady wrote and said she got saved at a meeting my dad did in Maryland. It is so wonderful to hear about how the ministry has touched people. That is why we are here and we will not stop until the Lord says it is time.

Monday, February 04, 2008

Well, it has been a few days since I have written. It has been very busy at our office. One thing we are facing is the financial difficulties. In our ministry, we face this a lot. During the times when you think that you are done, the Lord comes through for you and He already knows these things will happen.

I decided on my own to give more than half of what I make to our ministry. I did not do that to bring attention to myself. I gave because it is God's money and not mine. I am a person who gives continually and I want to help people. We have a need and I felt the Lord telling me to give. That is exactly what I did.

I want to say thank you for those of you who stand behind our ministry. If you really knew my dad you would see how much his heart is in this ministry and we are here for you and to help you in your christian walk. We follow the verse that says "Be Ready to give an answer". We want to equip others with what to say.

Friday, January 25, 2008

Well, yesterday my parents got home from traveling for two weeks. They had a good trip but trying to get back into the work that is here. It is nice to have them back because I take on a few more responsibilities when they are gone. I don't mind it but I am taking care of their house, my grandmother nd our office. Life gets to be fun.

I am glad that January is almost over. It is such a boring month to me. First, all the decorations are down so things look dark. Second, it has been extremely cold here. In TN we are not use to temperatures staying in the range of 19-25 degrees. Now, I know that is a heat wave to some people but for us in the south that is cold. We even got some snow which was beautiful. I figure if it is going to be this cold we might as well have more snow.

This month is a hard month for us at the ministry finance wise. I credit my dad so much because he is very careful with spending God's money and using it for the right purposes. That is one thing I will take away with me about my dad is how wise he is in the decisions that are made. Thank you for standing with us and continue to pray for our ministry.

Wednesday, January 16, 2008

Well, I can't believe where the time has gone - January is flying by. It has been very busy around here. I finally feel like I am catching up! Right now my parents are gone. They are meeting with folks who give to our ministry. It is nice when they are gone because we can actually get things done around the office. I am finally getting caught up which is rare.

We just finished a series we did on the tv program "Lost". I don't know if you watch it but I am an avid fan and it is very interesting how the show has christian themes throughout. If you have not watched it you should. It definitely is a deep program and has lots of symbolism.

Coming up this Sunday we are starting a new series we taped of a debate on the book of Revelation. It was between Mark Hitchcock and Mr. Hank Hanegraaff. It was very interesting and both sides presented their cases. I hope you will watch.

I hope you will continue to pray for the ministry. January is always hard because it is after Christmas and so our giving is usually low. We are the ONLY apologetics ministry that presents and defends the faith and we can not do it without the help of people. So, I hope that you will give if the Lord allows you too and also pray.

Monday, December 31, 2007

Well, I can't believe that tomorrow is a new year! It is hard to believe that 2007 is over. I hope that each of you had a nice Christmas! We had family on my dad's side to come to our house. That included 13 people and two dogs. We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was much calmer than last year. Last year part of our family came down with the stomach virus and it was not a pretty sight. I enjoy family so much especially since I am an only child. This year we did not even cook at home. We ended up going out to eat both days which was a nice break for my mom.

Another highlight was my birthday was yesterday and I turned 30. Very hard for me to believe but I am excited for a new decade. This weekend I am having a party to really celebrate the momentous number!

I hope each of you have a wonderful new year and I know that I want to make 2008 the best year possible and do everything I can to serve the Lord more.

Friday, December 14, 2007

Well, this has been a busy week. Right now I am working on letter number 4 that we send out in December. Along with that we are sending out our christmas orders and other materials that people have requested. On top of everything I went with my parents to Dallas this past weekend for a conference and also to help with the taping we did on the topic of dating the book of Revelation. That went very well. It was so cold in Dallas and they almost got some ice. It was foggy and cloudy every day we were there.

This weekend my mom and I are singing in our choir for the christmas musical at our church and also we are trying to finish last minute details for Christmas. After this weekend we have one more taping we are doing as a follow up to the debate we taped this past weekend. That will be on Wednesday. So, needless to say it is going to be busy up until Christmas.

One thing that was very interesting this past weekend was that many people at the conference (which was a pre-trib conference) were there because of our program. It was so neat to hear all the stories of how our program has changed lives through the years.

Thursday, December 06, 2007

Well, here it is a few weeks before Christmas. It is hard to believe that it is the end of the year. This year, my mom and I started early on shopping and we only have two people left. One of them happens to be my dad. I know that might be suprising but he is a hard person to buy for.

This weekend we are going to Dallas for a pre-trib conference that we are helping out with. We are taking some of our staff so I hope that you will pray for us as we go!

This is a busy time at the office. In the month of December we do three mailings and a gift ot our top givers. So, I am halfway through with all the mailings and gifts that we send out. That does not include the regular orders and christmas orders that we send out. The key is to stay on top of everything.

Well, I wish you well in shopping and all your plans for this wonderful Christmas holiday!

Monday, November 26, 2007

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is over? It is hard to believe that Christmas is a month away. Our Thanksgiving was very peaceful this year. We actually went out to eat because it was just our immediate family and no extended family. Overall it was a relaxing weekend and we even got half of our christmas shopping done. I have to hand it to the people who get up early and go on black Friday! I could not do that. My mom and I went shopping on Saturday and there were no people and there were bargains too! It was great!

So, we start another week. We covet your prayers for the ministry as we end this year. There are many exciting things to come and the Lord keeps opening doors up!

It has been over a year since my dad's surgery and he is doing well. He is much stronger and is able to do more things than before. I hope you will continue to pray for him and all the pressures he has upon him.

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

This past weekend I went with my parents and some of our staff to a conference that Southern Evangelical (Norman Geisler's school) did. There were about 4,000 people that attended. They had speakers such as Josh McDowell and his son, Erwin Lutzer, Gary Habermas and many others. My dad spoke on Saturday morning and the interesting thing was that many people had never heard of our ministry and it was their first time to come to this conference.

I enjoyed so much meeting the people at our booktable! It was a wonderful conference and there were people who gave their life to the Lord. That makes it all worth while.

On another note, it is Thanksgiving next week! Time has gone too fast! At our house, we are busy decorating for christmas. We have family on my dad's side that comes and it takes awhile to put up the decorations. I know that this year I have a lot to be thankful for! At this time last year my dad was about to go into surgery. I thank the Lord that he saved my dad's life and he is still around to do the ministry God has called him to do! He is doing very well and I hope that you will continue to pray for him and that he contiues to have the strength he needs for each day! There is a lot to do in running a ministry but we are thankful for what the Lord is doing.

We are also thankful that the Lord opened the door to go back on the Inspirational Network this past weekend! Many people that have not been able to see us can watch us once again! I hope that you have a wonderful thanksgiving and to be thankful for all the the Lord has done in your life and for your family. Thanks for your support in this ministry.

Friday, November 02, 2007

Can you believe how close we are to Christmas? Where has this year gone? This past weekend I went to Nashville with some friends from college. It was so much fun! It was so good to be together. That is one thing I miss about college is my friends because we are all spread out.

We are in the midst of all our conferences and traveling quite a bit. Last weekend my parents were a part of a conference in Dallas where the topic was about Jesus and the media. This next weekend we are going to Charlotte, NC for an apologetics conference that my dad is speaking at.

I hope that you will continue to pray for our ministry and this time of year because we are starting on new stations both for radio and tv and for all our engagements that we are involved in.

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

I can't believe that it is almost the end of October. This week is a short week because I am leaving to go to Nashville to see some college friends for the weekend and my parents are going to Dallas for the weekend for a conference and also for a banquet that we are doing for the ministry. I hope that you will pray for my parents and for the trip they have this weekend! We also have some of our staff traveling and going with them so pray for their safety too.

One exciting thing we found out this week is that we have been given a one minute slot on Moody radio every day to promote the program. We are very thankful for this opening and we pray that new people will be able to find us. We are the only apologetics ministry out their where we answer the questions and defend the truth of christianity.

Well once again I am working on our appeal letter and getting the booktable together that we will be doing in Dallas the end of October. So, it is very busy around here.

The last weekend my parents and part of our staff will be in Dallas for a conference and they will also be doing a banquet. I hope that you will pray for them that weekend and for their safety as they go!

We had some good news happen this past week! Some very generous donors helped us to get back on INSP at a very good time. The time is at 9:30 p.m. eastern time on Sunday night! If you get INSP I hope that you will watch us on this new time. We thank the Lord for bringing this about! We also thank the Lord for wonderful people that help us on a daily basis. We could not do this ministry without them.

This week has gone fast - we are getting ready for conferences and booktables and letters to go out - this gets to be our busy time but one that is very fruitful too!

My parents are gone again this weekend for another business trip! This past week my dad along with his co-writer Dillon Burroughs did many radio interviews on their new book "What's the Big Deal About Jesus". We have some resources from those interviews on the website. That book is a great one to give people because my dad has put together many inerviews with the scholars on who Jesus is and who the media trys to portray him.

In the mean time, we are working out to hopefully have a three minute deal on the radio about our program that will air on Moody and hopefully some other stations. This is an answer to prayer and I hope that you will continue to pray that we can get on some more radio stations and help that expand like the t.v.

Our ministry is very small and the expenses are very big! We could not do it without faithful people who will give and help us to continue to defend the Word of God!

I can't believe that it is October 2 already. My parents just got back from a trip to CA. In the mean time, we are gearing up for the fall and for the different conferences coming up! Right now we are airing the series that we did with Lee Strobel. If you don't have this series, I hope that you will get it for yourself or for a friend. What I like about this series is that Lee Strobel was an editor for the Chicago Tribune and was an atheist right down the line. Because his wife got saved he started to investigate who Jesus Christ was. He explains this and also about how the media is destroying the person and character of God.

I hope you will pray for us and for my dad. He is doing very well but he still needs prayer for the conferences and programs that are coming up! I hope you will also pray for our staff and for the many responsibilities that we all have. Many of us are doing 5 different jobs because we are so small. If one person is out it slows us down. Thank you for supporting us and for standing with us. If you live near Charlotte or in Dallas I hope that maybe you can come to some of the conferences that we are apart of. There are more details on our website about what is coming up!

Don't the weeks fly by - once again we have started our monthly mailing here at the show and we have a busy fall coming up!

This weekend my parents are traveling out to California to visit some of our donors. I hope that you will pray for them as they go. We have some exciting events coming up this fall that we are doing or helping out with. It is amazing to see how the Lord works in situations.

Just to let you know, my dad and his co-author has a new book called "Defending the Faith" which will be coming out soon. A very good resource for churches and small groups to use. If you have not already bought our book "What's the Big Deal About Jesus" I recommend that you do! It is a combination of different programs with the best Jesus scholars in the world. It is a wonderful resource to use especially in witnessing to your friends and relatives.

Thank you for your prayers and I hope that you will continue to pray for our ministry as we defend the truth of the gospel.

It is hard to believe that 6 years has passed since the attacks on 9/11. When we went to New York last week, I was trying to fathom all that went on that day! It really gives you goose bumps when you go down to ground zero. We talked to several of the people working in the stores around there and they were not there on 9/11. They said that the terroists may have killed thousands of people but they did not change anything.

There could be more attacks to come but thanks to our security we have been safe! Whether you agree with the war going on or not, the terroists are all over the world and in their religion of Islam they don't care about life. Their mission is to kill and be rewarded for that!

I hope that today you will say a prayer for our military, our president and the other leaders for all that they are doing!

I remember in school when I never heard of islamic terroists. Bin Laden was never named. Now, all of this is a threat and will continue to be until the Lord returns.

Well, we just got back from our trip up north! We went to a conference in New Jersey called America's Keswick. It is a wonderful bible conference that my dad spoke at for their final weekend of summer events. One thing they do there that nobody else has done is they have a place called the Colony where men who have had problems with drugs and alcohol can come and be under a strict regiment everyday and also hear the word of God spoken each day. The men are on a waiting list and they also go through an interview before they are let in. It is a wonderful program and so many stories of how men have come to know the Lord and also how they have regained their life once more.

After the conference we went to New York. We walked all around and went to a show. We also got to go down to where the WTC used to be. Right now it is under construction to rebuild the subway system and they will eventually rebuild some buildings and make a memorial to the victims of 9/11. It is hard to believe that those buildings are gone. It was a very moving sight and to know what went on that horrific day! I hope that we as Americans will never forget 9/11. I think we are starting too! I know that the New Yorkans have not forgotten and they have been forever changed!

Just wanted to update the fact that our taping went well on Thursday! We taped Lee Strobel who use to be a former atheist and now is a christian and was explaining the evidence that he came to about who Jesus was! It was a great day hearing from him! We will start to air those programs the week after Labor Day.

Pray for our family this weekend! We are going to be going up north where my dad is speaking at a conference. We are also going to take a little vacation in New York City too! I am very excited to go! The last time we were in New York was a few days before 9/11.

We have many conferences coming up that I will let you know about! My dad is feeling good and I am glad that he can speak in different places coming up! Continue to pray for the ministry and all that we are doing1

Tuesday, August 21, 2007

I wanted to share with some of you that over the past couple of weeks I have talked to some people who have really been impacted by the series that we are doing on creation! I had quite a few women who called and said that the program was an encouragement to their husbands because of circumstances they were in at the moment. I also had a lady call from Colorado who said that her son was glued to the tv and she was ordering two so that he could have one and also so she could give one to his science teacher.

You never know the impact the programs have on people. Plus, we will never know all the stories of how people were impacted by the John Ankerberg Show.

This week we are taping a new series with Lee Strobel. He was a former editor of the Chicago Tribune and a former atheist. Because of the evidence he found he became a christian. We are going to be talking to him on his experience and also on his new book that he has out. This will start airing in September after Labor Day! I hope that you will join in and watch.

Tuesday, August 07, 2007

It is so hot here this week as it is in so many other places. Today it is going to be 98 and the heat index will be well over 100 degrees! This is the time of year I feel bad for people who drive delivery trucks because they have no air!

I found out some bad news this past week. I have a friend who her husband was in the Army 7 years ago. He has been out but just last week they called him up to train and possibly go to Iraq. He was trying to get into the Navy as a chaplain but the Lord must have a different purpose for his life right now! I hope you will pray for him and for the other ones who are being called up! I know most people do not like the war and yes I would like for our soldiers to come home, but there is a job to do and we can not let the insurgents come over again to our country. I think that most people do not realize how much that the Muslims are taking over not only our country but around the world. Even in our city we have a mosque. We are definitely getting close to the end times.

Here at the ministry we are now showing the creation series we taped with Hugh Ross. It is so interesting to see our world and how it came about! I hope that you will tune in to watch!

I love talking to so many of our viewers. I talked to a lady just yesterday from South Africa who watches our program on Daystar and this weekend was the first time she had seen the program! How wonderful to know that when you send your donations to us we are helping people around the world!

Thursday, August 02, 2007

First of all I want to say that I am praying for those people who have lost loved ones or ones that are missing in Minnesota. I have never seen anything like that before where the bridge just crumbled beneath those people. It is so sad how not a day goes by that something does not happen!

On another note, I was very saddened to hear about Robin Robert's breast cancer. My grandmother has breast cancer and so far she has been in the clear. Robin seems like a neat woman and is very kind and sensitive. We need to take it on ourselves to pray for her and what she is going through.

We are busy here at the ministry. We are getting ready to tape Mr Lee Strobel on his new book that is out. That will be the end of August. We are also planning the fall and my dad is going to be speaking at several places. He spoke at our church this past Sunday and that is really the first time he has preached since his surgery. He is doing better and goes again to get his checkup! He still needs prayer for strength each day!

The last thing I want to share is our family found out some exciting news. My cousin is going to have a baby in March which will be the first one. That will definitely change things when we go on vacation as a family next summer! I am so excited for her!

Wednesday, July 25, 2007

Well, I think I am back in the swing of things. The four hour time difference has really thrown me for a loop! It usually does not take me this long to get back into the right time! What is strange is to see darkness because for two weeks I never saw it!

Next year, we are planning on taking a trip to Rome and do a cruise from Rome and we will be going to Florence, Naples, Monte Carlo and Pompeii just to name a few places. This will be in July and the airfare is included with the cruise. I hope that you will consider coming. You can get more details on our website or we will be glad to send a brochure to you. I hope that you will consider this.

Can you believe how fast the summer is going? I am shocked that we are almost into August. I think with being gone that has made the summer go faster. As my friends say I am never home and they wonder where in the world I am now! We are getting ready for the fall and my dad is planning some speaking engagements. I hope that you will continue to pray for him as he needs continued strength each day!

Friday, July 20, 2007

Well, we just got back from our trip to Alaska! What a beautiful state to see God's creation. We did a cruise that left from Vancouver and went to Ketchikan, Juneau, Sitka, Icy Point Strait and we saw the Hubbard Glacier. The cruise was a week and we had 15 people in our group that went.

It rained and was pretty cold but it definitely gave us the flavor of Alaska. Did you know that as of right now they are losing 5 minutes a day of sunlight? They have only 3-4 hours of light in the winter time and the rest it is completely dark. This is the best time to go because in the winter it can be 50 below zero and snow is all around.

After the cruise we went from Anchorage up to Denali National park by train which took 8 hours. It was so much fun. The scenery was beautiful! We were able to eat breakfast and lunch on the train. In Denali park, we went on a tour that was about 8 hours where we went through the park and got to see a lot of wildlife. We saw grizzly bears, moose, caribou, a wolfe, rabbits, the state bird, eagles and on and on I could go. We were also able to see the bottom and the summitt of Mt. McKinley. It was beautiful! After being in Denali we left and went back by train to Fairbanks and did some touring there before we flew home.

We were very thankful that we made all our planes on time and there were no big delays. Our bags did not get home with us until the next day but at least we were home! If you ever get the chance to go to Alaska you need to take the train out of Anchorage or Fairbanks that goes to denali park. That shows Alaska in all its glory. Alaska is so unique and is so different from the rest of the US. You almost feel like you are in another country.

Now that we are back, it is time to get in the swing of things again. I will let you know more of what is coming up next week!

Friday, June 29, 2007

So, I am busy getting ready to leave for our trip to Alaska! I am very excited about it! It is always figuring out what to take to wear! Some places we are going will be warm and other places will be cold! I think that it will actually be very cool for us since we have been use to 90 degree weather and humidity. We have a great group of people going and it will be nice to have a small group to tour Alaska with.

We have some exciting things coming up! We are trying to set up new proga,s that are relevant and my dad has several books that will be coming out in the next year! The one book we are excited about is called "What's the Big Deal About Jesus?". This will come out the first of August. There are many things my dad put in the book that he has not aired and I hope that you will get it and read it and also share the book with friends and family.

Well, that is it until we get back which will be in about two weeks. It is hard to believe that next week is the Fourth of July! Time is going quickly!

Monday, June 25, 2007

I am sure that many of you saw the sad story of the mother in Ohio who was killed. They came out with the fact that her boyfriend had been drinking and after he left the bar he was at he went to her house to kill her! On the Today Show, there was a girl that I saw who had a relationship with the same guy and she talked about how dangerous he was and how he stalked her. I think it is great how the community came out and helped to find this girl, but I also see a sad situation where this girl could still be alive. This world is getting to be more and more scary to live in because of people! We are just passing through and this world is so not our home! What a great truth! I know that we should pray for this girl's family and aslo for her boyfriend that he might see the truth.

This week we are getting ready to leave for our trip to Alaska. We actually don't go until next Tuesday, but there are many things to be done! I am so looking forward to our trip! There will be much to tell when we get back!

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

This week we have some good news to tell. My dad's co-author, Dillon Burroughs, is now working here at our office full time. He was living in Indiana but the Lord worked it out for him to move his family here to Chattanooga and to be apart of our staff full time. It is so wonderful since there are many books they are writing that will be coming out soon!

In the mean time, we are busy with letters and programs going out because our family will be going to Alaska in two weeks that we are doing for the ministry. I am looking forward to it. I have been to Alaska but there are parts we are going to that I have not been to before! We are planning a trip to Rome next year and brochures will be coming out soon! I hope that if you have never been with us on a trip, that you will consider coming next summer with us. We have a great trip planned for an affordable price. What is exciting is to meet the people that support our ministry and to get to know them and have some fun and bible teaching at the same time.

On another note, I am going to get political for a second. I am not a fan of Hillary Clinton, but this week she came out with a theme song to get people to come to her website. On it, she and her husband, did a spoof off of the sopranos. It was very well done and it gets people to come to her website and learn more about her campaign. This is going to be an interesting election. It is one where the christians need to stand for what they believe. The next president has a lot to deal with because the world is coming closer to the rapture. Nobody yet thrills my soul for president and I hope that one will stand up for the values of this country and also show the leadership that we need as a country.

Monday, June 11, 2007

Well, hope everybody had a great weekend! We just started a brand new series called Every Man's Challenge and later we will do Every Woman's Challenge. This is such a great series for anybody who is single or getting ready to be married or is already married! We had three wonderful guests on the program who shared their life stories and what they learned.

I really do love summer as long as the humidity is not too bad! It has been very warm here and we have had no rain! But, this week is suppossed to be hotter. I know that summer is here because down on the river here in Chattanooga they have a festival called Riverbend and they bring in top people that sing. This year we have people like Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs. Each year they have different people that come in! It is too crowded for me and too hot! Always when Riverbend is on it rains at the beginning and the rest of the week is hot!

One exciting note is that our other writer, Dillon Burroughs, is moving his family down this week and will start working for us full time starting next Monday! We are so glad that he will be with us at our office and it will make writing easier. Continue to pray that everything goes well with their move and that their transition will be smooth.

Monday, June 04, 2007

Sorry I have not written lately. We just got back from a vacation with my dad's side of the family. We went to the beach and it was so wonderful that I did not want to come home! This was a great time to go because it was cooler and I actually was cold sitting on the beach! We have 12 of us altogether and we all stay in one house! Some people can not imagine doing that but it is so fun and we all get along! We rent a house with a pool and one that is walking distance to the beach. It was fun to catch up with our family and it is so neat to see how God is working in the lives of my cousin. Just to give you an example, my one cousin is in Canada at a bible school and is loving it. He did so well in Greek that he helped the professor last year grade papers. He is wanting to start som small ministries and it is so neat to hear him pray too. He sounds like a preacher. Some of the stuff he is learning is over my head but the knowledge he has is incredible!

Back at the ranch, I am trying to catch up on work. We are doing a taping with Erwin Lutzer this week. This Sunday we will be starting a new series on the challenges that young men and women face and also that married couples face. I believe it is going to be an excellent series and I hope that it will touch many people in areas that they need as far as relationships are concerned.

My dad continues to gain strength each day and I hope that you will continue to pray for him and that he will continue to keep his strength up! He is writing books and working on the taping coming up!

That is it for now and I will update you later.

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

I want to recognize a very special person. This past weekend my parents went to Nebraska to celebrate his cousin's graduation from law school. She got top honors and she is now studying for the bar exam which will be later this summer. I was not able to go but I congratulate her and all the studying she has done!

I want to say another word on the passing of a great evangelical Jerry Falwell. My dad knew him and was very sad to hear of his passing. There may have been statements that we did not always agree with Dr. Falwell on but he stood on the Word of God and preached the Word of God! He also started a wonderful school called Liberty University! A school that has grown so much because of the publicity on tv. I almost went to school there but the Lord had me go elsewhere. I hope that you will join me in praying for the Falwell family and as they take a new direction of leadership!

On a last not I have talked about the show Lost and how much I enjoy watching it. I heard that they are going to continue the series until 2010. My dad decided it would be a good idea to do a book on the show and all the implications that is brings out! I think what makes it so successful is the fact that there are so many twists and turns and what you think may happen does not happen! Plus, I love the characters on the program and how they go back to their past and show what they did before they got stranded. Anyways, if you have not watched it is something to start doing1 I think it is worth it!

Tuesday, May 08, 2007

Yesterday, I was so fascinated with the queen coming to the white house and all the preparations for the dinner last night! I love to dress up every once in awhile like what they did! It made me think about how we look at people with royalty but we have royalty because we are a child of God! That is so wonderfull and reassuring. I can only imagine what Heaven will be like. More beautiful than anything here and something that will last forever!

This past weekend I went back to my university in Greenville, SC. For those of you who don't know I went to Bob Jones. It brought back so many memories and the school is so beautiful! They have fixed all the buildings and the grounds are immaculate. I went with a friend and we toured the school a little and saw the play they did! At the end of every year, the school puts on a Shakespeare play! This year they did Henry IV. It was so good and so professional. I think if I had to take a class again I would take a Shakespeare class. I love his work and his plays are so well done!

It is hard to believe that summer is right around the corner! When I was in school, time went very slow and now that I am out it is going too fast! Probably because I am getting older!

Monday, April 30, 2007

Can you believe it is the end of April already? In school I use to love this time of year because of graduation and most of the time it was beautiful! Our weather here is beautiful today but it has been rainy and windy some too. It will be interesting to see what the summer brings.

Our summer is going to be busy between family vacations and our trip to Alaska. In the mean time I am hoping to see some friends from college also.

If you have not seen the program lately, we are airing our series we did with Jimmy DeYoung on prophecy and in June we will be going to our series on relationships and issues that single people and married people deal with. It was a great series that was taped and I hope that you will be able to watch it.

I hope that you will continue to pray for my dad. He had hurnia surgery last week and is very sore but overall he is on the mend. Pray for strength for him and also as he is working on other programs and writing books. He just had his heart surgery in November but is not up to the task of doing a lot of things quite yet! That will come in time.

Friday, April 20, 2007

What a sad week this has been after the tragedy at Virginia Tech. We have some friends whose son teaches at VT in computers I believe. He was fine but we have not talked to him since everthing happened. Of course today is the anniversary of columbine's shooting. When I was in school I never worried about someone coming in and shooting. It is very scary how we send kids to college and even high school and instead of being concerned about learning they have to worry about security.

Personally, I believe that the school should have expelled the shooter after he set his dorm room on fire. Of course, he probably would have come back and killed people anyways. Anyways, it should have been a policy that they should have followed through with. If someone is trying to burn their room and dorm I think that is a serioues problem.

Anyways, I feel very bad for the parents and friends and siblings of these students. Life can go on but they will never be the same. The school that I went to (Bob Jones University) sent a banner which all the faculty and students signed. I hope that other schools will support and pray for VT and that we as a nation will too. They definitely need it!

Monday, April 16, 2007

This past weekend I went to Atlanta to see our family with my mom. We went to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We surprised her and we had a good time of shopping and eating! It was very cold here this weekend! I know that I can not complain because many of you live in the northeast and really are getting the snow and rain! Crazy weather for April but it is not due to global warming.

This week we have our taping on Thursday so we are getting ready for that! My dad finally finished his cardiac rehab and is now excercising on his own. Even though he had the surgery you still have to exercise and be careful what you eat so you don't have to go in again a second time. The one thing he learned is that he does not want to go through that again! He looks good and is getting more strength. I hope that you will continue to pray for his health.

I wanted to say a word about the trip to Alaska. That will be in July and there is limited space now. It is going to be a great trip and if you would like to go I hope that you will call us and let us know. I have been to Alaska and it is beautiful. It will be a great time in July because it will be cooler during the day and especially at night! We are going to visit some unique places and the cruise ship will be nice also. I hope that you will look at our borchure online and come with us. We always have a great time on our adventures and I hope that you will consider this.

Wednesday, April 11, 2007

Well, I can't believe that Easter is over. Our family had a nice Sunday. We went out to eat which was nice. The only thing was that it was the coldest morning on record for Easter. It was colder than Christmas morning. That is so hard to believe. Crazy weather that has been going on!

On another note, my dad finished up his rehab and he is continuing to get better. Next week he will be doing another taping so he is trying to get ready for that. I hope that you will pray for him and that he continues to have strength.

Right now we are airing a series that we did with Darrell Bock on The Lost Tomb of Jesus where they said they found the bones of Jesus. Darrell is the main man that is interviewed on all the major networks and specials when these things come out against Jesus. It was a great series of programs and I hope that you will watch them both on t.v. and also on the internet.

Well, that is it for now. I will let you know what the taping will be on and some other things going on. Continue to pray for our ministry and all that we are doing for the Lord.

Monday, April 02, 2007

Well, we have done two tapings in the past two weeks and my dad survived them. This past Friday we had Darrell Bock on about the Lost Tomb of Jesus that has come out. We will be airing this program on Easter Sunday! He is such an intelligent man who is the foreman when anything comes out about Jesus. He has been interviewed by Fox News, CNN, ABC, NBC just to name a few! I hope you will watch this program because it answers so many questions.

On another note, I am a fan of College basketball and really like the girls more than the guys. Last night the Tennessee Vols played North Carolina and it was a wild game. So many turnovers and fouls called. Tomorrow night they will play in the championship with Rutgers College. It should be a good game. I really do like Pat Summitt. She is a tough coach but one who loves her players and really teaches the game to them! I always appreciated hard teachers in college and even in high school. They were the ones that taught me the most and ones that I definitely never forgot.

To end, this is Easter week! What a special week this is to remember all that God has done for us. I pray that we will all take time to sit down and write our testimony out of how we were saved and what the Lord has done in our life since we got saved. This I think will help us to remember this Easter season a little bit better.

Tuesday, March 20, 2007

I can't believe that next week will be the last week of March. This week has been busy because we are getting ready for our taping on Prophecy tomorrow. It is going to be with Jimmy DeYoung. I am not sure what the name of it will be because that is yet to be determined. I hope that you will pray for the taping and that the right words will be said.

On another subject I have some tv programs that I don't miss because they are so good. One of which is 24 and the other is Lost. My dad is going to do a book based on Lost coming soon. This is the first season that I have watched 24 and I am hooked. I have missed the other seasons and hope to catch up. It is scary how relevant the story is to what could happen and is trying to take place in our country. Now grant it, it is funny how Jack can be someplace overseas in the morning and go to about five different places in one day. Also, in downtown LA you can not get anywhere fast and in the story they can get places in 5 minutes. Anyways, I love the writing and the quick pace the story takes. It is well done and if you have not watched it I don't want to give things away.

Next time I will update you on the taping and some other things that are coming!

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

How many of you have been watching American Idol?

Now I know that some of you are not interested and some are. I personally never really get into it until you get down to the final 12. This year will be interesting to see what happens. The ones I liked and actually had good voices got kicked off. This is a singing contest not one where we see how cute a person is or his personality.

It is amazing to see how many millions of people watch each week. It is also intersting to note that when Idol started they went to many of the networks to get on and they all refused Idol. Who else but Fox picked up and look how well they have done.

What a great opportunity to get a record deal and try to make something of the talent you have. I think if the christian community would step up in this type of atmosphere what we could do to change the world. It would not have to neccessarily be singing but even someone like a Larry King who would have a christian viewpoint!

Time is running out and we need to step up to the plate and do things to change our world!

We have some new programs coming up. Next week we will be taping a new series on prophecy and what is happening with such countries as Iraq, Iran and Israel to name a few. Again we will have the experts in prophecy Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and Dr. Renald Showers on the program. I hope that you will pray for this series and that people will be opened to this information.

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

Well, here it is March already! Time is flying by. This month my dad will be taping for the first time again. He is going to be doing another prophecy series with Jimmy DeYoung and Renald Showers. It is going to be more of an updated program. There are so many things happening right now with Iran and even with the war in Iraq.

Then, next month we will be taping another new series. In the mean time, my dad is working on some other books. We have a new one that will be coming out in June called "What's the Big Deal About Jesus?". I think this will be a hit and one that all christians and non christians should get and read. Continue to pray for my dad's strength in the mean time.

I am sure that some of you have heard about the documentary that James Cameron has done on the Lost Tombs of Jesus. It aired this past Sunday night on discovery and we have put up articles by some of the well known evangelical scholars about this program. Of course, this is false information about the life of Jesus. We also know that Jesus is not buried in the grave, HE IS ALIVE! I am not going to go into much detail because we have put up articles on this that you can read for yourself and examine for yourself.

We put out programs to help you in your christian walk but you need to examine and discover truth for yourself. This is something recently that I have begun to discover for myself. It is like when you go to church and the pastor puts the words from the Bible on the screen. You need to take your Bible and read what he is reading. Don't take what someone else is reading. You need to see it for yourself. That is what I hope that you do with this series that has come out showing false evidence on Jesus.

Well, this is my first day back in the office. We just got back from the National Religious Broadcasters Convention that was in Orlando. It was a great convention but very very cold while we were attending. I thought I was going to Florida to warm up but that was not the case. Lots of good contacts were made while we were there.

Today was an exciting day here in Chattanooga. The President came to town to talk about healthcare at one of out largest hospitals. My mom and I saw the motorcade and we also saw the plane take off when they left. What a beautiful and large plane. It was very special to have him in town today.

Our series is still continuing on creation. It is doing very well and there is some great material that is discussed. We have many things coming up that I will tell you about later that is happening in the ministry.

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

This week we started our new series on Creation which is an excellent series. I hope that you will watch the series on t.v. or watch it online. Our guests were Dr. Hugh Ross, Dr. Fuz Rana and Dr. Ken Samples. We are also offering a dvd called Journey Toward Creation that Dr. Ross did and it goes back to the beginning of time showing what happened and how God made everything come together. It is very fascinating to me.

This week is a short week because the National Religious Broadcasters Convention is this week in Orlando. We are going and taking some of our staff. This is the main convention where all the broadcasters in radio and tv come together. Pray for our safety as we go.

My dad is improving and the doctor says he is coming along well. That is why he can travel this week. He is not up to speaking for things yet, but going places is fine. Continue to pray for his health and healing.

Monday, February 05, 2007

Can you believe that it is the first week of February? Hard to believe. I really do like the month of February not just because of Valentine's Day but because it is national heart month. This month gives new meaning to our family because of what my dad has gone through! Speaking of which he is doing well and progressing more and more. We are planning to do a taping in March which will be the first he has done in awhile.

Many of you have heard that my dad is suppossed to speak at Founder's Week which starts this week. Well, he will not be speaking because the doctor did not give him permission to do that yet! So, maybe next year!

While I am thinking about it I wanted to do a commercial for Precept Ministries that is run by Kay Arthur. Their ministry is here in Chattanooga too and I went to a conference in October of last year called "Youniquely Woman". Precept is doing it again this year in April. I encourage anyone who is single or married and is from age 25 - 45 to attend. It covers all issues from marriage to children to keeping a goldy household. The speakers are Kay Arthur, Emilie Barnes and Donna Otto. It is almost a week conference and packed from morning to night! It is so worthwhile. I hope that the women who are reading this will think about going.

Monday, January 22, 2007

Well, first of all I would like to say that our family likes football and we especially like the Chicago Bears being from Illinois and we also like the Indianaoplis Colts because my mom grew up in Indiana and Peyton Manning use to play for the Vols. So, the Super Bowl will be a good game I believe. Both games yesterday were nail biters but they were played really well over all.

Speaking of football, I went to see We are Marshall. What a great movie. A very sad beginning but a story of how they overcame having no team and rebuilding. Of course, this happened before my time, but this is something to see especially for those of you who may have been at Marshall or lived near by or just heard about it.

My dad continues to do well. I know that many of you have heard that he is speaking at Founders Week for Moody. He is not going to be able to go because he is not up to speaking yet. So, maybe next year he will be able to go. Continue to pray for him. He is making good progress but we don't need any set backs.

Monday, January 15, 2007

Well, here it is another week. It is hard to believe that we are about halfway through January. My dad continues to improve. Still doing his cardiac rehab. Each week they give him a little more to do as far as machines are concerned. Our family is very impressed with the people that work at the rehab place. He is in a class where he has to listen to tapes and after that they work on the machines.

We are starting to change our diet and exercise even more. Now that I have two people in my family with heart disease and a line of it in my family, I am watching what I eat. I have been exercising and I have also had a trainer.

I hope and pray that you will continue to pray for my dad as he continues to heal and improve each week.

I hope to have some pictures to put up from Christmas so that you can see our whole family.

Tuesday, January 09, 2007

Happy New Year! I wanted to give an update on my dad and the ministry of what is going on right now. My dad continues to recover very well. He is in rehab three times a week. He has not come back to work yet because his strength is not where it should be which is understandable. We as a family are starting to learn what to eat and what not to eat. He is on a pretty rigorous diet but it is good for our whole fam.

We had our whole family here for Christmas. It was very nice until christmas night my aunt and cousin came down with the stomach flu and they were stuck in our house. Not good when dad is recovering. Thankfully, with a lot of prayer, we have all avoided the flu so far.

For New Year's Eve we took our staff up to Whitestone Inn near Kingston TN. What a beautiful place. It is a bed and breakfast that is right on a lake. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The food is wornderful. The bset I have ever had. Anyways, we had a fun weekend.

At our office, we made it through December. What a month of letters and orders going out! Right now we are airing again our Islam series because it is so relevant with what is going on in the middle east and with Iraq. I hope that you will watch and continue to support our ministry as my dad is out and recouperating.

We have many new things planned for this year! I hope that you will continue to pray for us as we go throughout this year!

Friday, December 29, 2006

I wanted to give an update on my dad. He is recovering very well and has started cardiac rehab. He will continue to do that three times a week for 12 weeks. The rehab is great because it's part class and part exercise. Continue to pray for him that he does not get an infection or any kind of flu that is going around. He has not come into the office but is working from home.

There are many new programs to do and so I would ask that you pray for him as he is working on what to do next and that the Lord will give him new strength each day!

We had a great christmas except for the fact that on Christmas night my aunt and cousin came down with the flu at our house. So, they could not even go home because they were so sick. Thankfully none of the rest of our family got it. I hope that you and your family had a great Christmas. I know for me and my family that there is so much to be thankful for.

Have a great New Year and I will keep you updated on how my dad progresses.

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

I know it has been awhile but it has been so busy lately. My dad is recovering well. It will be four weeks tomorrow since he had his open heart surgery. Hard to believe that the time has gone by so fast! He will start his therapy next week but he is still taking it easy!

Our office is bustling with orders and letters going out. December is busy but it is my favorite month. In this month my dad has a birthday and so do I. Also, mom and dad have their wedding anniversary in December. We just celebrate all month. I loveDdecember because of all the decorations and parties and also because the Lord Jesus came to earth and came as a baby for us. I wish it was colder here but living in the south you can get warm temperatures this time of year.

I hope that you will take a look at our website and order some gifts for family and friends. Hopefully everybody has their shopping done! Christmas will sooon be here!

Thursday, November 09, 2006

Well, it has been awhile. We have been very busy here at the John Ankerberg Show. In the month of December we have four mailings that go out plus all of our other orders that come through. It all starts to snowball now.

I hope you went out and voted. We need to pray for our country and for our leaders. We especially need to pray for our next president. There are so many things facing our country now and we need to pay attention. I know that so many people in congress do not think we are in a war. They think it is a situation only. They need to look at the facts. We are at war and we are facing terroists that are all over the world and hate America. This election and what we are facing now shows that the return of our Lord is very near.

Friday, October 27, 2006

Last week I went to a conference here that was called Uniquely You. It was all about how to be a godly wife and mother and how to be organized and what your role as a wife and mother should be. It was so good. I learned so much and I wish that all my friends could have gone. There were women that came who were 45 and some who were 25. We had very long days but so much material I felt like I was in school.

In two weeks, TN has a crucial vote for the senate seat. It is between Bob Corker and Harold Ford. I don't know if many of you have seen tha ads that are out, but they are vicious and very political on both sides. This is an important election that leads to the presidential election. For those of us who live in TN we need to vote and we need to make our voice heard for this country. Just by the ads you can tell who is moral and who is not and who wants to make a difference in our country.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006

I thought I better write something because I am going to be gone this week to a conference for women.

Last weekend I went to see another movie that the christian community has put out. It is called"One Night with the King". It was a terrific movie that told the story of the life of Esther. The sets were unbelievable and the actors did a great job. What was interesting is that in the movie you have actors like Peter O'Toole who are starring in this moive that is christian. What a witness to him and others.I recommend you go and see it. How important it is that we as christian go and see these movies. Of course this was based off of a book but it goes along with the Bible also.

To switch hats we are getting ready for our busy season of Christmas. There is much to go out and we need your prayers and support. It is hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner. All the stores you go into you see trees and decorations and hear the christmas music. They seem to rush right over Thanskgiving.

Well, that is it for now. I will be back in a few days.

Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Last Friday night I went to see the movie "Facing the Giants" with my family. If you have not seen this movie I recommend that you go. One of the executive producers, David Nixon, our family knows personally. He also is in the movie along with some of his kids. This was a low budget film but so far it has made close to 3 million. It's a story about a small christian high school football team and the struggles they faced and also the struggles that the coach and his family faced. Throughout the movie it presented the gospel so well and it was a film that just goes to show that everybody will face trials no matter what but the Lord will bring you through them if you are faithful to Him.

Most of the actors never acted before. They were from a church down in Georgia. They did an excellent job for being the first time they acted. Not only did this movie come out in 400 theatres but there are more to come like the Nativity Story and the story of Esther.

I hope that you will pass this info. on to your friends and family to see good wholesome christian films. We need to support more of these films.

Today my mom and dad are going to be featured on the Daystar network. Daystar is one of the networks that our program is seen on throughout the country. They are going to be talking about our program and the different outlets that we have such as radio, tv and the internet. You can watch this on the internet of if you get the Daystar network.

On another note I thought I would talk about some shows that are out that I really like. One is "Lost". I don't know if you have seen it but it is a very fascinating show. This year is season three. The background is about a plane that crashes and the stories of the people who survive. But, you add in stories of other people they come across and weird things happening on the island. I will not give much away, but last night three of the characters were taken at the end of last season and are in different cages trapped. At the beginning of the show it showed this compound where the "other people" are living. We don't know where our three main characters are really and what will happen to them. We also don't know how these other people know so much about our trapped characters. It is a different twist to this season and who knows where it will go. I will keep you updated but if you don't want to know you better not read my blogs.

I am sure that many of you saw where there was another shooting in an amish school in PA. It seems to be overwhelming the school shootings that have happened recently.

I remember when Columbine happened. I was in college and I remember seeing the students running out of the building with their hands behind their head. Out of that terrible tragedy came many wonderful testimonies and stories. One was of Cassie Burnell who when asked if she believed in God said yes and was shot instantly. The more I thought about that the more I wandered what I would do in that situation and without a doubt I would have said yes too. I wandered what went through her head at that moment. Was she scared? Did she know she would be killed? Did she know that in a few seconds she would be with her Lord? Did she think about her family and maybe what was said that morning? Questions I know I would have thought and more.

I never had to worry in school about someone coming in and shooting. It is such a different day that we are living in and where innocent lives are being taken. My heart goes out to the families and especially to the amish families that have lost children.

I received an interesting article yesterday that shows where technology is going. Radio was before tv and the main form of getting your news and entertainment. We as a tv program have radio programs that we do weekly. But, now radio programs are going out and being replaced with podcats and mp3 players. People can now download what they want to hear and so the need for radio is becoming less and less.

10 years ago I never imagined that this is where we would be going. I have an ipod and primarily listen to music on mine. This shows how much technology is changing many ministries like ours.

Our Islam program has been going well. It has definitely fit in with what is happening in the world.

Tuesday, September 19, 2006

I can tell that it is getting to be fall because it has become cooler here and I love this time of year. TN is really pretty in the fall.

This past week we started our new series on Islam and it is so relevant to today. We hear about Islam every day. I have been doing some commercials also to try to get people like you to join our tape of the month club which is really the backbone of our ministry.

This past week I received an e-mail where it talks about how the terroists want to do something worse that 9/11. They are saying that all the muslims that live here should get out. They also said that they are going to disguise themselves as regular people with regular names and also as christian or toher religions. This made me realize that they hate the US and no matter what they are going to try to destroy what we have.

We nee to continue to pray for our country and our leaders. There is such a threat right now and it is more of a threat now than ever before.

Wednesday, September 13, 2006

This week I have been thinking on the fact of 9/11. It is so hard for me to watch even after 5 years since that tragic day. Even when I watch the news they just don't get what we are facing now and in the future. I can remember going to school and we were in a cold war but we never heard about the terroists every day and we never worried about being attacked. That was so far from our minds. I do feel bad for the people who were killed. It is very hard to believe that the twin towers are no longer standing. We were in New York the week before and I never imagined they would be gone. Our family went up one night to the top of the Empire State building and it was so clear and the twin towers were so beautiful.

This weekend we start a new series on Islam and what it means for us and for the nations. What people do not understand is that we are facing an enemy that does not care what we think and wants to kill for the sake of Allah. We can not and will never negotiate with terroists. With everything that is happening we know the Lord's return is soon.

We need to pray for our president and in my opinion he is the right man for the job. The Lord put him in office at the right time. I would not want to be in his shoes. The decisions he makes he needs wisdom and it is our responsibility to pray for him.

I don't know if you saw the documentary on ABC leading up to 9/11. They did a good job of interpreting what I think really went on. We did miss on things and we should have seen the warning signs. I think also the Lord allowed 9/11 and he can allow another one to get our attention and to show us who he really is and we need to be more fervent and reverent to a God that will allow things to happen when a nation turns from Him and turns to things that are not of Him.

Tuesday, September 05, 2006

Well, it has been awhile. I can't believe that Labor day has come and gone. We are already looking towards Christmas and what we are going to do this year.

Many of you probably heard about Steve Irwin's death (formally known as the Crocodile man). When I heard about it I could not believe that he had died. I was not a fan of his but I thought he was funny at times and somewhat stupid too. Yet, he loved animals and tried to help them as much as he could. He also loved his family more than we will know. I would definitely not go after crocodiles or handle snakes like he did. I really do not like reptiles but the Lord put them here for a reason. Why? I am not sure. What I see as sad is now he has small children that have lost their dad and someone who was not afraid of anything and put his life on the line.

This is an example to me of how as christians we need to put our life on the line because of who we serve. I think back to columbine high school and how the one girl was asked if she belived in God and she said yes and was killed for her belief. She put her life on the line for God. No matter what would happen.

Friday, August 18, 2006

Well here it is another week has gone by. It is hard to believe how fast the weeks go. When I write these blogs I like to comment on what is happening in the world and news flashes going on. The one thing that caught my eye this week was on the Ramsey case. First of all I feel very sorry for the little girl. It has been ten years and they finally caught the person they think did it. I personally think that Mrs. Ramsey knew some things and they are just coming out about this now after she died. I think whatever happened, that Jon-Benet got in the middle of something and her death happened by accident. It is just very strange all the things comin out now on this case.

On another note, our prophecy series has been doing well and we are continuing it for a couple of more weeks. Even though the fighting has stopped does not mean it's over. I believe they will engage in fighting again. This past week has been hard especially with terroists still trying to take down airplanes. I had a friend fly out yesterday and he had some food that he took with him and he had a backpackwith his clothes and shoes. Well, the food got through fine, but he glued his shoes together before he left and because of that they stopped him going through because of his shoes. After some more people came over to check his shoes he was able to go through. You just never know whatthey will stop you for. My advice is to take as little as possible so that you do not slow down the process.

Friday, August 11, 2006

Well, I just got back from being on vacation. I went on a cruise that went to Nassau and a private island called Coco Cay. It was on Royal Caribbean. Everything was great except the food was not that good which was a surprise because I have been on other cruises and the food was always good. Other than that, it was a great time.

On a note here, we started airing our prophecy program last Sunday. It is going very well and it is so good. I hope that many of you will get the series. With everything going on right now it is very useful information.

After this series we are going to go to Islam and that was recently taped with the Caner brothers. It is amazing to me the times we are living in. When I was little we did not worry about terroists and blowing up planes. How that has changed and how it is all around the world. with that going on and Israel in a mess and North Korea and Iran in the background, we know the Lord will be coming soon. It is very comforting to know that we are just passing through and this world is not our home.

Wednesday, August 02, 2006

We just taped our program on Prophecy and it will air this weekend on most of our stations. It was so good and Dr. DeYoung and Dr. Showers really explained what is going on in the Middle East and how it pertains to the Bible. I hope that you will order this series to help you and your family and friends.

Here is something I want to share. This past weekend I went to a women's conference which was excellent and I came away really knowing how to study my Bible. If we don't read our Bible and come to the Lord constantly in prayer we will never hear from Him. He is a loving God who is always there for us but sometimes we don't give Him our time. The story of when God got in the boat with some of his disciples and the storm came up is an amazing story. When the storm came up they were afraid they would die. Isn't it amazing how God caused that storm and He was the one they needed to be in the boat to help them. Yet, they were very afraid. How awesome to think the God of the universe who is sovereign and has everything under control really cares about each of us and our needs.

I am going to be gone for a week on vacation but I will write when I get back.

Friday, July 28, 2006

This has been a busy time of the month. Please pray for the taping on prophecy next week that we will do. Pray for the guests as they come in and as they proclaim the truth of what is happening right now as it relates to the Bible.

It is a great time to be living and to see what is going to take place with Israel.

We thank you for your support of the ministry and hope you will continue to pray for us as we procaim God and His word.

Tuesday, July 18, 2006

This week I am reminded of how close we are to the end times and that we are probably living in the end times for sure. I feel for the people who are caught in the middle of the war between Israel and Lebanon. Between that happening, the was on terror in Iraq and other countries and the crisis with North Korea, you wander how long God will allow this to go on.

Next month we have invited Jimmy DeYoung and Dr. Renald Showers back to do an updated program on Prophecy and share their thoughts with what is happening and what the Bible says concerning these events.

I have started to read the last of the "Left Behind" books. If you have not read these books you need too. They are page turners and give you a glimpse of what happens when the rapture will occur. We know the authors very well. They are wonderful writers and really show the days after the rapture through different people left on earth. The last book is called "The Rapture". I started reading it and the first couple of pages talk about Israel being involved in a war like they are today. There is no better time to read these books. I will share more thoughts later on this.

Tuesday, July 11, 2006

Here it is another week. Pray for mom and dad this week. They are at a convention and working on other projects. So, there are very few of us left and we are holding down the fort at the John Ankerberg Show.

Last week I told you that I went to see Superman. Now if you did not see it I would suggest not reading this. Overall, I thought the movie was good. The movie did make Superman to be the hero and to be the Saviour of the world. There were times when they praised him and made him look like he could control everything. At one point, they are trying to get a rocket to launch off of a plane. That fails and so when the rocket takes off so does the plane and of course Superman comes to the rescue. As the planes is plummeting to the ground he catches it and puts it down in the middle of a baseball game. That of course could never happen but with the powers that Superman has he takes control and comes to the rescue. The movie made him look like a Saviour because when everything is in turmoil he comes to the rescue.

It definitely showed the struggle between good and evil and it reminded me how that struggle goes on everyday. It is wonderful to know that there is a Saviour who has control of the world and unlike Superman who can become weak at times our Lord will never fail us and is in control all the time. Like I said, it was a good movie but there are references to him being the one who helps and saves everybody. As my dad has said in his sermons there is only one guy with an S on his sweatshirt and that is the Saviour Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, July 05, 2006

My how time flies. I can't believe that the fourth is over for another year! I hope everybody had a good day. Not much happens at the Ankerberg household. We did go to some fireworks nearby on Monday night. Other than that it was low key this year which sometimes that is nice to have.

This past weekend our family went to see Superman. Later this week I will let you know what I thought about the movie and what it was trying to portray.

Hopefully soon we are going to do another prophecy program. With all that is happening in Israel and now that North Korea is testing their missles, many things are taking shape like the Bible says. It is a great time to be living because ultimately the Lord has everything under control and none of this is taking Him by surprise. I will keep you informed when we do the program.

One other thing, I was watching a rerun of Oprah which I don't watch very much. She was celebrating 20 years of running her show. I was thinking as popular as she is it is a shame that she is not a christian because she could have a great platform to get the gospel out. That is what we need is a christian Oprah or Larry King and think of what a difference they would make in this world.

Happy Fourth of July
I can't believe how fast this summer is going! Especially since next Tuesday is the Fourth. Each day I am reminded how lucky I am to live in America. What a great country it is. It is important as christians to pray for our president and his cabinet and the people in congress. They are our leaders and no matter if we agree with them or not we need to pray for them because they are making the decisions for our country.

Our country is in a different state right now. I remember when I was in high school and there was not a threat like today of terroists. We are definitely getting down to the end times. All around us it is getting worse every day. But, how we can rejoice because the Bible talks about these things to come about. That is my thought for today since we are coming up on the Fourth of July.

Tuesday, June 20, 2006

On Sunday, mom and I went down to Atlanta to Northpoint Church. That is where Andy Stanley is pastor. It is a great church full of life and young families. We went down because my cousin spoke on Sunday for Father's day. She talked about her dad and her relationship with him. Her parents were divorced and her mom(my aunt) got remarried. But, her dad was never there for her after that divorce. She talked about how she remembered her dad leaving and how she didn't understand why he left. Through the years she would go and see him and try to make the effort to communicate and to show love, but he never did. He has passed away now but she ended her talk with how things got resolved before he died. There was not a dry eye in the place.

It was very funny and moving all at the same time. She did a great job and I hope it spoke to many people. It was hard to listen to without crying because I knew her dad and knew all the pain she went through too.

Speaking of Father's day I am very thankful for my dad. To many of you he is a man that you see every week debating people and bringing forth the truth about Christ. To me he is the best father anyone could have. We are very close and I don't know what I would do without him. He has taught me so much in life and is such a role model for me and what I want in the man I will marry. To me he is just dad.

Friday, June 16, 2006

Well, here it is Friday again. It seems that the weeks go by fast. When I was in school people told me that it would go by fast when I graduated. I didn't believe them but now I do! That is why it is important to make each day count.

This week has been relatively slower than usual. That is good to have every once in awhile to get caught up on things. Very soon we will be getting ready to send out our monthly newsletter. I thought I would tell you a little on how that operates. We do all our letters in house. Usually we have a 4 page letter that is front and back. My job is to print it and we have the letter broken down into 7 jobs. Once it is has printed off of our copiers the next task is to fold all the letters. We have a big folding machine that does that job. It is so loud that I have to wear earplugs and it is in a room by itself. Once that is done, there are about three of us that stuff all the letters by hand. This is all done in about a space of a week or so. That is including everything else we do like ship orders out and answer the phone and attend meetings etc. After the letters are stuffed we have to put postage on everything and take it to the Post Office. There are always times that some of the machines break down and you always pray that everything will go smooth.

Well, hopefully that was not boring to read. I wanted to let you know how some things operate at the John Ankerberg Show.

Monday, June 12, 2006

It has been awhile since I have written because our family was on vacation last week. We went to the beach and it was so beautiful. I think I could have spent another week. My cousins came down for about two days which was nice. So, now it is getting back in the swing of things.

Every time I go to the beach I am reminded of God's beauty and how really magnificent the ocean is. I am sure that many of you like me like to watch people. It was so funny to see parents building sand castles and the kids would just watch them. I also saw many families that would come for the whole day and they came with coolers and rafts and blankets and anything else you can imagine.

That leads me into what we are doing next on the program. We are going to be doing a series on why do you believe what you believe and where is the evidence that shows who Jesus really is? My dad did a series of sermons on this topic and I think it is very important material. It's material that you can use in your sunday school class or in a bible study. So many people need to hear this materials because the churches are not teaching this kind of thing and they should be. We as adults need this materials to explain to our kids. I looked at all the kids last week and I kow many of them are lost and will be if they do not hear the gospel.
